For this fourth release from Montreal band Timber Timbre it seems as though Taylor Kirk and company have been transported back in time to the early rock era. It sounds as if Nick Cave and Glenn Danzig stopped by a Bobby Darin concert that just happened to be taking place in a graveyard. Traces of early psychedelia a la Pink Floyd and a nod to Ennio Morricone round out some of the edges of this standout disc.

ReplyDeleteSo, I'm sitting at the computer when I notice one of Ben's cd's sitting on the printer. B/W cover with a man at the top of steps and another person at the bottom wearing what appears to be a witch's hat--Timber Timbre!
